Lee Yie Hou obtained his Ph.D. from the Departments of Biochemistry and Pharmacology, National University of Singapore, Singapore (2009). He then trained in the laboratories of MIT Professor Steven Tannenbaum. In 2015, he joined KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital to head the Translational ‘Omics and Biomarkers (TOB) group. He holds a joint appointment as Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. His group applies mass spectrometry-based omics, and the integration with clinical and experimental data to discover biomarkers of patient stratification, and understand problems in gynaecological disorders and tropical infectious diseases. A major theme of his work is the pursuit of translation biomedical research in collaborative environments. In his spare time, he indulges in aquascaping and travelling.
